Tommy - Wheezy senior
13 years | Male | Senior foster | Nervous
Tommy has been the much loved cat of an elderly gentlemen, they had been best buds since Tommy was a kitten. Tommy had been living in a rest home with the gentleman for the last 3 years but sadly his health declined and was no longer able to keep Tommy with him.
The shelter is a big fright for quiet boy Tommy. He is slowly getting braver every day and starting to adventure outside of his cage. Due to the situation we don't have a great deal of previous information on Tommy but it is unlikely that he has ever had much contact with children or dogs. Prior to the rest home Tommy did like to spend some time outdoors.
Since being in our care we have discovered that Tommy has Feline Asthma. He is on steroids to manage the condition and his wheezing is getting better, but as he is also very obese this isn't ideal. Tommy needs to lose weight for the sake of his health so his new person will need to be committed to helping him achieve this.
Due to Tommy's age and health needs he is part of our Care for Life foster programme.
Tommy will be happiest in a quiet, adult only home as the only pet.
