Oreo ---- Shy boy
3 years | Male | Medical foster | Nervous | Affectionate
Oreo was found living as a stray early 2021. The kind Samaritan spent a long time building his trust to be able to get him to the vet to be desexed and treat his wounds. They were planning on keeping Oreo but it was found that he is FIV positive, which meant the finder was sadly unable to keep him. So he has come to us to find his forever home.
Oreo is still getting used to being confined indoors. He has spent a long time outside fending for himself, and needs time to build trust. Once he is relaxed and comfortable with you he is a lovely boy who enjoys pats, chats, and playing with toys. He has become quite confident at the shelter and is happy to meet new people.
Oreo is FIV positive which means his immune system is weakened. To help him live a long and healthy life, and to prevent him spreading it to other cats, Oreo must be kept as an indoor only pet. Due to his health needs Oreo is part of our Care for Life foster program.
Oreo will be happiest in an indoor home with Caregivers that are gentle and patient as he will need time to adjust to his new life.
