Charles -- Just wants some love

Charles is a gorgeous older gentleman who looks much younger than his years. He became unsettled after his family moved house recently. He was stressed by neighbourhood cats and started sleeping all day and wanting attention overnight, affecting the sleep of his family.

Although we suggested talking with their vet about medications that might help, the owners instead chose to have Charles put to sleep. Fortunately the clinic declined to do this and Charles was surrendered to them instead.

We have found that he is a curious, loving boy who is always keen for a cuddle and a scratch under the chin. He's a gentle giant with a lot of love to give. 

Charles is not good with other cats - he doesn't let his age affect his willingness to get into a brawl. He was a hunter in his younger years but not now. He has no experience with dogs. We will be looking for a quiet stable home where he can lie in the sun and have the attention he deserves as an only pet. 

Charles is eligible for our Care for Life programme as a senior foster.
