Sometimes a cat comes through our doors who really has a hard time finding their perfect home. One such cat is Olly.
Originally surrendered to us in 2020, he had already had two homes. He was then adopted to what should have been an ideal home for him, but his owner’s job situation changed and a dog was allowed to harass him. Poor Olly didn't cope and started acting up. So back he came.
Not surprisingly, Olly was anxious and distrustful. He didn't respond well to strangers and potential adopters were put off.
And then it happened. After more than a year in the shelter two wonderful women came to meet Olly. They were patient and tolerant. They spent hours out on our deck in the cold over multiple visits to gain his trust. Then they took him home.
From day one Olly was pampered and adored. He even gets taken on outings in his catmobile!
Recently, his lovely people called to say they wanted to celebrate the second anniversary of Olly's gotcha day by donating to us, and shortly after, they brought an incredibly generous quantity of cat food to the shelter. We really appreciate their kindness, and the wonderful new life they’ve provided for Olly.
