Heidi -- Shy but loves a fuss

Heidi first came into our care in mid-2017. She was originally a colony cat, and removed when young to be socialised by another rescue group. Heidi spent over a year with us before being adopted. 

Sadly, she never fully settled into her new home as there was another cat competing for their family's attention, and then the addition of a new baby really threw everything off. She was then fostered to a home that had multiple cats, who she didn't get along with. She came back to us in April 2023 and has been with us ever since.

Heidi is shy when first meeting strangers, but will show affection if she is approached gently and gets some good-quality patting. She adores being fussed over, and once she trusts someone, she will never get tired of pats! 

In the past, Heidi been known to overgroom when stressed, but her beautiful black tortoiseshell coast is currently in excellent condition. She loves exploring gardens, and does hunt mice, but also enjoys cuddling up on sofas for TV time, and sharing a bed at night. 

Heidi will be happiest as the only pet in a quiet, adult-only home.
