Mel was surrendered to us by another rescue. Before her 6-month stay at this rescue, she sadly hadn't lived the most glamorous life. She is an ex-breeding cat, and when her owner passed, she was taken in by someone who owned numerous cats in a hoarder-style home where the cats' living conditions and health were not good.
Mel is looking for a quiet and loving indoor-only home (or a home with a catio/quiet yard) where she can relax and live her princess life. She has a very submissive and gentle nature, and loves being patted and scratched around her head and chin! She's not known to cuddle or sit on your lap, but we think if she knew how great it is, she could be swayed...
She has lived with other cats before, and although she doesn't mind quiet, cat-friendly cats, we think she would really blossom as an only pet. Mel has chronic ear issues that will require on-and-off medication and a grade 3 heart murmur.
