Mr Max was surrendered to us as his owners are moving overseas.
Mr Max had a rough start in life and did not get on with his first owner/s at all. He was locked inside and hated it. Since then, (in Max's 2nd home) he eventually found trust in humans and enjoyed having free access to both indoors and outdoors.
Max will be slow to trust but is affectionate once a bond has been formed. He can be quite frightened by fast or sudden movements and would be best in a quieter home, without children. Mr Max's wish list is simply to have a quiet home with a nice garden and gentle humans to love him. Despite Max's NEED to have outdoor access, he has not used a cat door before and may need help learning to use one.
Currently, Mr Max is a little bit cheeky and will get into anything and everything if it is left out on the bench. However, this ravenous behaviour should settle once his hyperthyroidism is fully under control. In the meantime, he goes absolutely nuts for treats, especially Churus! (hint, hint). Mr Max does hunt birds and Mice sometimes.
Mr Max is a medical foster due to his hyperthyroidism and will be part of our Care for Life program. There is no fee to foster him.
