Tanner -- Ready for inside life
10+ years
11 years | Male | Medical foster | Nervous | Ex-stray
Tanner has come to us after living a semi-wild life. Originally a stray Tanner was neutered and returned to the place he was found, and he has lived in a backyard with a kennel. Tanner has spent his time in the sun or playing in the bush by day. At night, or in wet weather, he has slept under the deck or in his kennel with a rug.
Tanner is naturally cautious and a little curious. He can be patted and would smooch around legs at the clothesline and go in search of treats from neighbours, but unfortunately was not allowed further than the laundry so never got to the stage of being a house cat. He has a ready purr.
Now that Tanner is getting into his senior years it would be ideal if he could find the right, patient person to put time into him. It would be lovely for him to learn to love a soft bed, a fireplace, or maybe even a lap. Tanner is looking for a quiet home with indoor/outdoor access and should be the only pet in the household.
Tanner has luxating patellas and is on arthritis medication. He is a medical foster.
